Translation of terms and conditions

Challenge

One of our clients in the UK, a corporation, needed their terms and conditions of approximately 10000 words to be translated into French over the weekend. The industry of the client was quite specific, and knowledge of this industry was necessary to understand and accurately translate these terms and conditions.

Execution

LexSensis’ large network of lawyer linguists allowed the translation to be undertaken by a translator and a proofreader with knowledge of the industry and also with availability to complete the work during the weekend.

Results

The French version of the terms and conditions were delivered on time, taking into account the French language already used by the client in their other contracts. The final work product was reviewed by the client’s lawyers in France and any uncertainties as to the choice of certain terms were ironed out allowing the client to use these terms and condition on time for their new transactions.
